I was taking a walk outside and when i looked west i saw a bright object hovering in the sky, in the distance, that wasn't making any sound. It would slightly move every once in a while but didn't seem to be moving away on a path. During this time, it would also slightly fade in brightness and then go back to its regular brightness.

After a few minutes, it began to travel on a westward path without its brightness varying all that much and then, out of nowhere, the object's light faded out quickly. Similar to how a light dimmer looks when it is quickly shut off. The whole event lasted around 15 minutes. Less than five minutes later i saw two aircraft to the south of me, one right behind another, also headed westward.
