Seen from a distance, unmoving, much larger than surrounding stars, may have released a smaller object

So I saw something interesting from my patio last night... Not sure what it was, but it was significantly bigger than the surrounding stars, immobile, and very very bright. It eventually went away, whatever it was, but I didn't see it go. I took some (really crappy) pictures using my phone and a pair of binoculars. If any of you computer wizards know how I could enhance or clarify these images, I'd love to know how to do it.
